Mr. Jagan was elected as the national president of YSR Congress Party last month and the Election Commission informed about the changes in the party office-bearers.
Former Praja Rajyam leaders Jyothula Nehru and Vasireddi Padma, former MLA P. Dorababu and a few other leaders extended solidarity to Mr. Jagan. Mr. Nehru and Ms. Padma lashed out at PR chief K.Chiranjeevi for merging his party with Congress.
Addressing a large crowd, Mr. Jagan thanked everyone for extending their support to him. “It may take a year or two to win the fight. But you people are supporting me and encouraging me.”
